Experience

Online Development Co-ordinator, Sep 2007 - Present

Positively Wellington Tourism, Wellington

In this role I am responsible for Wellington Tourism's main website WellingtonNZ.com. During my time at PWT we have gone through a major design and development. This is a varied role, from planning new improvements and co-ordinating with our web development company, to the marketing and promotion of the website - including developing a social media presence.

I am also responsible for keeping key staff and stakeholders up to date with statistical reporting and analysis of the site using tools like Google Analytics and Nielson//NetRatings.

Web Developer, Oct 2006 - Sep 2007

New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants, Wellington

Working as a web developer at the Institute gave me the chance to develop my technical skills further - advancing my skills in HTML, CSS, ColdFusion, plus giving me some experience in SQL and database/server maintenance.

During my time at the Institute I worked on a completely new website for NZICA - working on the project from original mock-ups and wireframes to final launch. Working as the In-house developer has also given me the chance to concentrate on a set of projects in more depth.

Web Designer/Developer, Jan 2006 - Sep 2006

T&D Advertising/Marketing, Dunedin

In this role, I worked on a large variety of work including graphic design such as logos, business cards, and letterheads, as well as brochures, invitations, and financial reports. I have worked on designs for websites, as well being responsible for updating and maintaining the company's current websites.

My clients included, Emerson's Brewery, National Property Trust, New Zealand Institute of Management, Otago Peninsula Trust, ViBlock, Presbyterian Support Otago, Computer Concepts Limited, Mornington Community Centre, Community Trust of Otago, Duffill Watts & King, Luxury Chauffeurs, Executive Cars, and Fords Nurseries.

Freelance Web Designer/Developer, Feb 2003 - Jan 2006

Megan Leith Design, Dunedin

I have successfully worked as a freelance designer for several companies such as the Regent Theatre, the University of Otago, and Anna Krsinic New Zealand. I have completed a variety of projects from website design and construction, logo design, to photography and QuickTime panoramas.

This has given me the opportunity to learn how to run my own business, as well as putting my design skills into practise for real clients.
