Qualifications

Postgraduate Diploma in Consumer and Applied Science in Design Studies
In obtaining my PGDipCApSc in Multimedia Design I studied website design, interactive design (CD-ROM), cyber-culture and other aspects of design with computing and the Internet. As part of this diploma, I wrote the paper: Missing the Signs  [PDF: 1MB] which addresses usability issues for web designers when considering users with visual disabilities. This involved research undertaken with the top ten New Zealand websites and their acessibility.

Bachelor of Consumer and Applied Science in Design Studies
The degree of BCApSc at Otago University is a varied degree in which you have the opportunity to try all types of design and then specialise in the area you like. I chose graphic design, but have also studied product design, architecture, design history and other aspects of design. Plus, at Otago University I have had the opportunity to study outside of design including Marketing, Spanish, Psychology, and Computing.
